Experience Level
Minimum 10 years+ experience.
Typical Projects
Industrial projects, including steel warehouses, suspended concrete slabs, retention systems and concrete pavements,
Materials handling structures.
Typical Project Scope
Key Responsibilities
Leading structural design and analysis for predominately industrial projects.
Working closely with Clients delivering practical and economical solutions to engineering challenges.
Managing a small team of Engineers and Drafters, providing mentoring where required.
Preparing designs, documentation, reports, and specifications for projects.
A practical understanding of project scope, time and cost requirements to meet objectives.
Coordinating with architects, builders and services engineers on design issues.
Ability to manage multiple projects of varying size and complexity from fee proposal stage through to completion and billing.
Completion of tasks on time, with accuracy and to agreed specifications.
Ensure that work meets quality system and client requirements, as well as complying with Australian standards, codes, compliance, government and industry regulation.
Provide technical assistance and troubleshoot any relevant construction/engineering issues which may arise.
Essential Criteria
Relevant tertiary degree qualifications in Engineering.
10+ years of experience with a specialisation in industrial building design.
Strong experience in concrete and steel design to Australian Standards.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Willing to undertake an alternative design development approach to suit Client requirements.
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and documentation).
Effective client management and service skills.
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Ability to build and maintain effective internal/external professional working relationships

Software Requirements
